Dear God,

What are my thoughts compared to Your thoughts. What are my words compared to Your words. When I think and speak without knowledge of and faith in You, it is a wasted opportunity. Faithlessness and doubt is all so useless. And yet, I’m having a hard time getting out of that place. But that story is changing, thanks to You Father.

Grateful for this space that I’ve been able to write words that are Yours (in the form of Bible verses) and words that have come from humans, like me. When I see Your word compared to ours, it’s apparent Your Word is in a league of its own. Thank You for blessing us with something so precious and timeless, the wonderful gift of the Holy Bible. Also, thank You for the riches and depth of being so human. I’m finally beginning to understand the equal need for God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. You, God, illuminate the darkest of places and the dark spaces of our hearts. You seek to give us beauty for ashes when we surrender. I surrender.

May more come to know that You are it. The best leader of our lives. The why we exist. The question and answer all wrapped up in one. The beginning and end. You, God of Adam, Moses, and Joseph, deserve all the glory. You are Lord. You alone. Have Your way in me God. Have Your way on this earth. May Your will be done. Free will without You is slavery. I’ve learned the hard way and I don’t want to go back.

In Jesus name, I pray.

Amen.
