Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full — pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.

There is nothing that compares to giving. I love the high that only comes from giving and serving. Where does that feeling come from though? I was convinced that I was giving my money, my energy, my resources and that’s why it felt good. But now that I find myself with an insatiable desire to answer the big questions…

When you draw close to God, God will draw close to you.

Thank you Father for showing me how much I need you. This new life isn’t easy but it’s worth it. I was blind to the bondage I was held by before but God You’ve granted me the kindness of vision when I sought You with all my heart. This vision You gave me was to see more of the painful childhood things and memories entrenched in my heart. Those wounds run deep and affect my behavior now, but praising You for still working in me. You are reprogramming. I love going to You for further directions. You are the best source for everything. In Jesus’ name, I pray and trust. Amen.

What a Master Creative on the seat.

Shaping our lives into quite a work of art, even more so when we trust Him.

So trust Him.

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter,

but first giving honor where it’s due.

Thank you to the pages before us —

the words, the people, the punctuation marks,

the places, the spaces, and things that influenced the us of now,

and the us at present.

Google has long invited us to come to it with our queries and musings,

but I wonder, what if we ourselves have answers?

Insights incognito or answers we undervalue for any given reason.

What if we place too much dependence on search engines and technology to inform us about our land, our inheritance…

She wouldn’t give up her favorite pair of jeans, her passion for God, or her determination to show the world how one-of-a-kind she is.

Three things I want to leave behind as part of my legacy. Passion for God is number one. Determination [to serve and represent well the one whose image I bear] is the other. The final thing is integrity and deep everlasting peace within. With these three, I’ll be secure in knowing I lived a life that is my definition of successful and extraordinary.

That’s it.

Simple is how I came.

Simple is how I’d like to leave.

This is my prayer.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

My only hope is in Your love and faithfulness.

I REPENT.

In the nimbostratus clouds of confusion,

my loose screw thoughts and emotions ran haywire.

I let them, I take full responsibility.

Tried thoughts and emotions out like they were shoes I just had to wear,

even though from the outside the pairs were just plain ugly.

But I lost trust in my senses and judgment

as I searched, grasped at what looked to be straws, possible explanations for my position.

Now it’s clear that most of the straws were a product of taking a type of hallucinogen.

The drug…

The best way to end a meal is with dessert…and a day with prayer.

Spend a day or a season in prayer. Not for things or outcomes. But to know God.

For over a year, I’ve been filling up pages with words & pictures in search of meaning/ clarity when what I desperately needed was spiritual water & life. Not a fan of admitting I can’t do things myself but the reality is I can’t… but He says I don’t have to. I do have to pray though to remain in connection to the source of my alignment, hope, and peace.

Be still and know that I am God.

I will praise the Lord no matter what happens.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Words have the power of life. They bring refreshment to the soul in the desert. In the verses above, we receive simple instructions as to how to operate when encountering trials. Praise God & consider it pure joy. Choosing praise & joy every day. Testing is always in progress.
