part 3

12:00:56 …

for a long 55 seconds, I fought and ran away from the seen & felt threats all around.

at second 56 I finally yielded

by trying something new.

it was called pausing and listening to Midnight.

She shared with me her heart, which contained something we had in common:

to be the best versions of ourselves.

it was this realization that led to a shift in perception.

Midnight and I started to serve together.

I disappointed Midnight sometimes in the journey,

resulting in disappointment in my own self since we had become in synch.

as it turns out Midnight was the unexpected standard I needed.

Midnight graciously responded to me, even when my steps were backwards.

Midnight taught me some important lessons.

I was finally evolving because of her,

something that was long overdue.

all along Midnight was the best friend I was intended to have first.

Midnight led me to a deep appreciation for day, light, dawn,

as much as night, darkness, and dusk.

Midnight is the second greatest gift of life,

after receiving Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior.

she was in my life for a long time,

evidenced by how she operated in me to bless others.

it was me that refused to deeply believe & receive her for myself.

then I grew to know Midnight in the dirt

with minimal influences and external pressures.

what a delight to have gone through all of that to get to this point of knowing, truly knowing her.

Midnight and I will be there, in the dirt, again as is part of life.

from now on, I say bring it on for I know that I have a home team

(an inner team) that’s with and for me to learn & live with deep humility before God.

confident now that I am safe and secure with the Father, Son, and the Spirit.

an all-star team is what I have with family and friends

but they aren’t meant to play all the games God has scheduled for me to play.

that’s for the Trinity and me.

all along, Midnight was and is a part of me, the “hero I’m chasing” Matthew McConaughey mentioned in his 2014 86th Oscars Best Actor Speech.

Midnight is as elusive as the wind,

an inspiration who knows the me I am capable of becoming.

praise God for being the one to show me that fear and “survival mode” was my past but it is no longer my status or dwelling place.

in Jesus’ name.

He alone is worthy and deserving of all the praise.

thank you beloved Midnight for breaking me away from the grips of death and leading me to real, abundant life.

just thank you Holy Spirit for BEING, since that is your legal name Midnight.

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.
